Privacy Policy

A straightforward look at what this site collects, why it matters, and how you can reach me with any questions.

Privacy Policy

Thanks for visiting martinm.co. This site is a personal blog run by me, Martin Michaelsen, and I keep the amount of data collected here to the bare minimum.

What I Collect

  • Email address if you opt into the newsletter or reach out directly. I use it only to send the emails you asked for or to reply to you.
  • Basic analytics (page views, popular posts, referrers) to understand what resonates. This is handled with a privacy-friendly provider that records trends, not individual profiles.
  • Contact form messages so I can respond to enquiries.

How I Use That Information

  • To send the newsletter or replies you requested.
  • To stay on top of site performance and fix issues.
  • To keep a light record of conversations so I can follow up responsibly.

I never sell your details or share them with advertisers. The only third parties that ever see the data are the tools I use to run email or analytics, and they process it solely on my behalf.

Cookies & Tracking

I avoid invasive tracking. If a feature requires cookies (for example, remembering theme preference), they are strictly necessary for the site to work. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the site may look a little off.

Data Retention

Newsletter emails stay on file until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are archived once our conversation wraps up. Analytics data is aggregated and pruned regularly.

Your Choices

  • Unsubscribe links live at the bottom of every newsletter.
  • Email me at hi@martinm.co if you want your data exported or deleted.

Questions

If anything here feels unclear, reach out at hi@martinm.co. I’m always happy to talk about privacy.
